Therapeutic Art

Therapeutic art

Also known as art therapy, is a form of psychotherapy that uses the creative process of making art to improve and enhance mental, emotional, and physical well-being. It can involve various art forms such as painting, drawing, sculpting, or even digital art. Through the act of creating, individuals can express themselves, explore their emotions, and gain insight into their thoughts and feelings. Therapeutic art is often used to help individuals manage stress, cope with trauma, increase self-esteem, and improve communication skills. It’s facilitated by trained art therapists who guide clients through the artistic process and help them interpret their artwork in a therapeutic context.
